Time and Space

Time and space always change, and there’s no better example of that than Crowley College, our one day training event fast approaching on July 21 and 22 (identical program each day), featuring informative and impactful workshops led by CPC experts with direct assistance from over 20 leading manufacturers. In terms of time, and at the request of many, discounted Early-Bird Registration is being extended to June 15. As for space, it remains very limited for both sessions, the change being that it has been filling up.

This time in the Chatter space, we’re stirring things up with superior active mixing for stored water supplies, and following that with a look inside of one of the most dynamic pump designs for driving the flow or liquids, before spotlighting liquid ring vacuum pumps built to excel at the most challenging process applications.

It’s time …

Top Performer

Backed by nearly 60 years of water mixing experience, KASCO products are dedicated to improving efficiency, reliability, and sustainability in water and wastewater systems. By combining advanced engineering, robust construction, and field-driven innovation, Kasco’s water quality solutions set the industry standard for keeping water in motion.

Kasco CertiSafe™ Active Tank Mixers, the fastest and most effective active mixers on the market,  blend drinking water in tanks and reservoirs quickly and efficiently. These powerful mixing systems create an environment homogeneous in chemical concentration and temperature, improving water quality from tank to tap.

When drinking water is not mixed quickly, evenly, and continuously, it can fall out of EPA compliance, putting the health and safety of your community in danger. Common problems include:

  • Thermal and chemical stratification
  • Residual loss
  • Biofilm buildup
  • Disinfection by-products
  • Nitrification in chloraminated systems
  • Development of ice caps
  • Sediment accumulation
By creating strong, consistent circulation, CertiSafe™ Tank Mixers quickly and evenly move water while eliminating common water quality problems.

Available in several HP sizes, Multiple (suspended, floor, and pipe) mounting orientations, and various control panels, there is a CertiSafe Mixing solution for nearly every size and style of tank.

Cutting Edge

ROTO PUMPS is celebrating more than 55 years of success in moving various fluids across the globe. Roto Pumps is recognized as a pioneer in manufacturing positive displacement pumps, and ranks among the top manufacturers worldwide. Roto Pumps wastewater pumps can easily handle aggressive chemicals and solid laden liquids making them ideal for wastewater related applications.

One of the most dynamic designs for driving the flow of variety of liquids, Progressive Cavity Pumps can be customized to efficiently handle liquids with different viscosity levels and chemical properties. The Progressive Cavity Pumps comprise of a precision mechanized single external helix metallic rotor and double internal helix elastomer stator. As the rotor turns within stators, the cavity progresses from suction to discharge along with fluid.

Positive Displacement – Because of single rotating element, progressive cavities are generated which deliver a uniform, metered and non-pulsating flow. The developed head is independent of the rotational speed, where as the capacity is proportionate to the speed.

Self priming – Inherently self-priming, the pumps can work on snore and do not require a foot valve.

Non-Clogging – Can handle solid in suspension or media containing a high percentage of solids.

Low Internal Velocity – Minimum degradation of shear-sensitive media, and can also handle highly viscous materials having pseudo-plastic characteristics.

Reversible – Due to the reversible rotation capabilities, Progressive Cavity Pumps can perform with equal efficiency in either direction.

Separate Bearing Housing – Fluids can be pumped without contamination.

Tried and True

NASH is the premier provider of vacuum pumping solutions, serving the chemical, petroleum, power, paper, mining, environmental, food, and wastewater treatment industries. For more than a century, Nash has been trusted by customers for delivering quality, reliability, value, and performance. Nash’s liquid ring vacuum pump design was the first-of-its-kind at the turn of the 20th century and has been an industry leader ever since.

Nash liquid ring vacuum pumps are a reliable and durable solution for challenging process applications. Nash pumps are widely recognized for meeting the rigors of the most demanding applications, while reducing the total cost of ownership.

Small capacity vacuum pumps feature monoblock or lantern designs, which deliver the benefits of a simple, compact and economical installation. Ideal for use in a vast range of general industrial processes.

Medium capacity liquid ring vacuum pumps offer a highly powerful range of small to medium size single stage vacuum pumps for use in diverse applications and industries.

Large capacity single stage liquid ring vacuum pumps are ideal for demanding applications in extremely tough conditions. These heavy-duty pumps are able to service a wide range of applications.

Nash liquid ring two stage vacuum pumps are designed to handle large amounts of liquid carryover without difficulty. These pumps are rugged and long-lasting machines ideal for harsh and demanding industrial environments.
