It doesn’t have to be splashy, and doesn’t always make the highlight reel, but on the gridiron a smothering defense able to shut down the opposing threat can unquestionably be a key to winning. It’s the same with the steps you take to maintain and improve your essential equipment and systems. As part of your winning team, the Charles P. Crowley Company is always in position and ready to help you get the job done on both sides of the ball.
At the snap we’re breaking down the best in polymer blending technologies. As the play unfolds, our eyes are on leading instrumentation and visual measurement devices. Then we we move swiftly to tackle the pumping of corrosive, abrasive, hazardous and ultrapure fluids.

Manufacturer of the Month
CLEANWATER1 is a leading provider of water and wastewater treatment solutions focused on achieving superior water quality. Cleanwater1’s Polyblend® and Dynablend™ polymer activation systems not only represent the best science of polymer blending, but are the de‐facto standard for achieving the best polymer efficiencies.
Cleanwater1’s industry-leading emulsion polymer activation technologies use two-stage mixing to achieve superior results. The two‐zone mixing regimen optimizes polymer activation and ensures consistent performance. The high shear mixing zone followed by lower energy dissolution, together with a final post‐dilution step has been proven as the best mixing methodology for today’s higher molecular weight polymers.
Polyblend and Dynablend systems consistently achieve higher viscosities and activation levels than other polymer mixing systems and are designed for both emulsion polymer and dry polymer applications.,
Polyblend® Mechanical Mixing
- Highly efficient mixing process results in polymer savings
- Excels at high molecular weight polymers
- Ability to quantify the energy input and relate it to G value (important for high molecular weight polymers or polymers with a tight tolerance for activation)
- Low maintenance cost
- Wide variety of size options
- Large installation base
The Cutting Edge
KENCO Engineering is widely recognized as a leading supplier of instrumentation for various industries, including oil and gas, petrochemical, power, pulp and paper, water and wastewater treatment. From Liquid Level Gauges to Oil Level Controllers, Kenco enjoys worldwide recognition and sets the standard for vital level measurement and control components.
Oil Level Controllers
Safety and control devices include the Model KLCM, an electric switch in a CSA approved Class III, Type 4 enclosure. The float switch monitors the oil in the crankcase. The level in the crankcase directly corresponds with the oil level in the oil level controller housing. If the oil level in the crankcase drops 3/4” past the centerline, the switch will trip sending an alarm.

Since 1949 VANTON PUMP & EQUIPMENT CORPORATION under the leadership of its founder, Gerry Lewis, pioneered the development of engineered thermoplastic pumps in the U.S. and around the globe. When it comes to handling corrosive, abrasive, hazardous and ultrapure fluids, Vanton thermoplastic pumps set the standard.
Whether your needs call for a seal-less, self-priming Flex-I-Liner® rotary pump, a horizontal Chem-Gard® centrifugal pump, or a Sump-Gard® vertical centrifugal pump, they’re all backed with three quarters of a century of innovative problem-solving expertise.
Vanton’s entire line of thermoplastic pumps excel in applications where a broad range of chemical resistance is required.
The chemical inertness of thermoplastics ensures purity when handling ultrapure water and other fluids required by manufacturers, fabricators, utilities and industries where contamination cannot be tolerated. Vanton thermoplastic pumps provide a broader range of chemical resistance over stainless steel and expensive exotic alloys where corrosion and abrasion issues frequently occur. And, thermoplastics eliminate the problematic issues of wicking, absorption and abrasion that are related to FRP materials as well as the porosity and delamination associated with lined metal pumps. It’s why with Vanton thermoplastic pumps you can transfer process fluids or waste streams of mixed or unknown chemicals without fear of corrosion or contamination.
With over 265,000 pumps deployed around the world, Vanton’s knowledgeable in-house team of engineers oversee the performance testing of every pump manufactured. Large or small, with Vanton you are assured of always receiving the optimal pump for your specific needs.
